The Divine Marchesa
Opens at the Palazzo Fortuny before extraordinary exhibition dedicated to Luisa Casati Stampa, “The Divine Marchesa,” as described by d’Annunzio, who at the beginning of the twentieth century, was able to transform itself into a work of art, surprising and disturbing depiction of modernity and avant-garde. Co-produced by the Civic Museums Foundation of Venice and by 24 ORE Cultura – Gruppo 24 Ore, the show has more than a hundred paintings, sculptures, jewelry, clothing, photographs of the great artists of the time: as Boldini, Bakst, by Marinetti in Balla, from Man Ray to Alberto Martini, Van Dongen to Romaine Brooks, all immortalized what was not only a decadent dark lady but a precursor of performance art and body art .
