Edinburgh: Palace of Holyroodhouse – A royal home for over 500 years, the Palace of Holyroodhouse is used regularly by the Royal Family as The Queen’s official residence in Scotland. Visitors to the State and Historic apartments can find out about its role as a working palace, and explore its links to Mary, Queen of Scots, Bonnie Prince Charlie and other famous royal and historic figures. You may visit the Palace over the festive period and see it transformed for a Royal Christmas. The Forecourt, Mews and State Apartments will be adorned with lights and decorations, making the Palace the ideal place to get into the Christmas spirit.
