At Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza: Zurbarán: a new look


Madrid – This summer, the Museum will receive the work of one of the most important painters of the Golden Age Spanish. Zurbarán: a new look will offer a review of the production of Extremadura artist from his first commissions to their stage of maturity, reserving a prominent place his paintings on religious themes and dedicating one room to his still lifes. Thanks to studies in recent decades, the exhibition will include recently attributed to the painter, and others never before exhibited in Spain and restored pieces for the occasion unpublished canvases. There will also be space for his best disciples and works of his son, Juan de Zurbaran. From June 9 to September 13, 2015  Museo Thyssen-Bornemisza  Paseo del Prado, 8 – 28014 Madrid.
